Framelock and Genlock solution for up to 4 FirePro cards and external video devices

A multi-GPU framelock and genlock solution for FirePro cards! - the ATI FirePro S400. This was just a technology demonstration 7 months ago but now it is a working product for current video and 3D apps.

• Genlock enables video and graphics feeds from various devices (e.g. cameras, recorders, mixers, keyers, etc) to "lock" to an externally generated signal, helping avoid jumping, flicker or scan lines that commonly arise when mixing video sources or feeding the output of a GPU into video-centric devices (e.g. broadcast monitors or NLE suites)
• Framelock synchronizes display output and 3D rendering across multiple GPUs for smooth output across multiple displays or video projectors in a videowall.

The ATI FirePro S400 is a single card that ensures clock-accurate, simultaneous synchronization (supports PAL & NTSC SD video blackburst, HDTV tri-level sync, TTL, and sync signals on SDI)) across up to 4 GPUs (i.e. scalable). It also has upgradable firmware.
