Hello,

I am finally leaving gaming cards for good this time.(8800gts) and going for more professional minded cards to do Photoshop, Video editing and light CAD work.

The 7200 seemed to be powerful when first released, even though is a DX9 card do you think it will still hold its own for another 2 years in general professional work.

Past Professional cards I’ve owned have been
Oxygen GXV1
Oxygen GVX210
Oxygen GVX420

My current hardware is
Xeon 3220 (Quad core)
4 Gigs of ram
Vista ultimate 64 Bit

its costs more but it’s faster

unless the V7200 is less than 100 bucks

I got a 7200 off EBAY for 100, but it was throwing up dollar signs during bios screen and blue red and black speckles when you get into GUI. Thats a tell tail sign of bad memory on the video card. I only took a chance on this card because it had a 14 day warranty, so its on its way back.

I’m looking at the FirePro V3700 thats supposed to come out for a 100.00 retail this fall, any body have any thoughts?

Its looking now like a choice between the FireGL V3600 and FirePro V3700.

All opinions appreciated.
